On Saturday, 28 February, the Badalona Guitar Association organised a charity concert featuring five renowned guitarists at the Carmelite Church in Badalona. All proceeds from the voluntary donations were donated to BADALONA ACULL, a group of 40 organisations working to make Badalona a more welcoming and inclusive city.

At that time, BADALONA ACULL was mainly focused on finding decent solutions for people who had been evicted the previous Christmas from a secondary school that had been abandoned for years. This eviction left the homeless people who were staying there in a situation of extreme vulnerability. The inhumane actions of the public institutions involved left many of them in an even worse situation than before. Two months later, some were still living in poor conditions under the motorway or in different parts of the city.

In light of this situation, BADALONA ACULL offered them support and assistance, attempting to meet some of their most immediate needs in a particularly complex context, characterised by a lack of humanity and institutional support.

The Badalona Guitar Association is a cultural organisation, but for many of our members it is also essential to support humanitarian and social initiatives when the need arises, as we have done on other occasions.

This time, we were fortunate to have the altruistic participation of classical guitarists Ángel Jesús López, Carles Herraiz, Raül Cañizar, Yibo Guo, and Raquel Benito, who performed pieces of different styles by renowned composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Manuel de Falla, Francisco Tárrega, or Héctor Ayala.
